For the Friday events:
Both the Touch n' Go games and the Sanctioned events are each being held in four rings simultaneously, with warmup games in the morning and Sanctioned runs in the afternoon. We've had an overwhelming response to all these events so the scheduling for the running order has been a huge task. We've done our best to make sure that everyone has enough time to get from ring to ring and event to event. Because of the nature of Steeplechase and Gamblers, with Gamblers running slower than Steeplechase, conflicts may still arise in spite of all our planning. In the event of a conflict, please make every effort to be on time for your Gamble run, to minimize the changes that need to be made to the timing equipment. We can accommodate the change and fit you in for your run in Steeplechase much more easily.
Zero Tolerance Policy
We want everyone to come and enjoy the weekend in good fellowship and with good sportsmanship This is meant to be a celebration of agility at it's very best in Ontario. However, competition can sometimes lead to increased tensions. Please be advised that there is a zero tolerance policy for any physical or verbal abuse towards an official, member of the organizing committee or by extension, a volunteer. Any incident of abuse will result in immediate dismissal from the trial as pursuant to the AAC rules below. While it saddens us that such a policy needs to be implemented, there have been incidents occur in the past. Section 2.2 Responsibilities of Hosting clubs: "All matters outside the ring fall under the jurisdiction of the organizing committee and the officiating Judge, wherein the trial chairperson must be the ultimate authority. The committee may consult with any AAC Judge, AAC member or any other individual, as they deem appropriate. As such, the Judge or organizing committee may dismiss any dog and/or handler from the show site."
2.3 Judges and Stewards: An officiating Judge may dismiss a dog from the ring or competition if the dog exhibits signs of aggression towards other dogs or people. The officiating Judge may also dismiss a handler/owner from the ring or competition for swearing, acting in an
unsportsmanlike manner or abusing any dog either physically or verbally. Anyone subjecting a Judge or members or the organizing committee to abuse, whether they are competing in the trial or not, must be dismissed from the trial site.
