THE VENUE

The Centre Wellington Recreation Complex is located at the eastern edge of Fergus, just a short distance from local shopping, amenities and the Belwood Lake Conservation area.  A sixty-three acre site the Centre Wellington Recreation Centre is uniquely suited to host an event the size of the Ontario Regionals.  The Recreation Centre is a proven venue for large cultural and sporting events, having been host to The Fergus Highland Games, league sports, The Ultimate Frisbee Challenge, Conformation shows, the RCMP Musical Horse Ride and the annual Fergus Truck show to name a few.  Six agility rings (100’ x 100’) will be situated on the outdoor sports ring, ringside competitor tenting areas, a warm-up area, vendor booths, onsite concessions and ringside spectator seating.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

From the Hwy 401: Hwy 401 to Hwy 6 (exit 295).  Proceed north on Hwy 6 approx. 14 km through Guelph until road ends (at Woodlawn Road).  Turn right on Woodlawn Rd. and proceed east approx. 3 km to Woolwich St./Hwy 6.  Turn left on Hwy 6 and proceed north approx. 17 km to Belsyde Ave. in Fergus (3rd traffic light).  Turn right on Belsyde Ave. and proceed east approx. 1.25 km (just past Scotland St.) to arena on the right.  

From Hwy 401 (Alternate): Hwy 401 to CR 46/Brock Rd. North (exit 299).  Proceed north on CR 46 (Brock Rd.) approx. 15 km (becomes Norfolk St., then Woolwich St.) through the city of Guelph to Hwy 6.  Continue north on Hwy 6 approx. 17 km to Belsyde Ave. in Fergus (3rd traffic light).  Turn right on Belsyde Ave. and proceed east approx. 1.25 km (just past Scotland St.) to arena on the right.  

From the East (Alternate): Hwy 401 west to Hwy 25/Milton (exit 320).  Proceed north on Hwy 25 approx. 24 km (proceed through Acton) to Ospringe.  Note: Keep right where Hwy 7 turns left and continue north where Hwy 25 becomes CR 125 to reach Ospringe.  At the Ospringe traffic light, turn left on CR 124 (former Hwy 24) and proceed southwest approx. 5 km to CR 26.  Turn right on CR 26 and proceed north (toward Belwood) approx. 20 km to CR 18 (stop sign).  Turn left on CR 18 and proceed southwest to east side of Fergus (CR 18 becomes Belsyde Avenue. Arena is on the left, just before the traffic light at Scotland Street.
